Kyle, Concurring with the Jason Majority

Hello all, I wanted to chime in on Jason's fabulous post. I could not agree more. I too watched the video and both Tucker and Anne are bang on.

I cant believe Carolyn Parrish had the gall to go on tv and challenge Tucker. This has to be the most vile woman in Canada, eclipsing even Sheila Copps.

I love the line about Canada marching with the world. What a joke, this is the biggest cop out I have ever heard. Back in the first half of the century, we did was right no matter what the whinery liberals thought. Mackenzie King went to war with Germany and Japan despite opposition at home. If WWII happened today, I bet you any money Canada would have stayed home. So I guess in a sense, we have always marched with the world, but in the old days we marched through France and into Germany while smashing the Wehrmacht and the Kaiser's Army 25 years earlier.

Oh yeah, and we used to be the first one to line up, instead of the snot nosed little kid that stood on the sidelines and complains. This disgusting committment to political correctness is so all pervasive that it has even touched Steven Harper, "the hope for Conservative Canada". This man recently declared that supporting gay marriage was a victory for democracy in Canada. I may just puke.

In my opinion, Canada and its liberal judges and politicians are going to legislate themselves right out of existence. I wonder what my parent's zip code is gonna be when they run the Stars and Stripes up in Ottawa??

PS-If you live in South Sask, lock up your daughters, Jason and I will be partying in Regina like its 1996.

1 More Final left!!!!

Hey everyone!!,

Isn't it sweet that Tommy the Commie Douglas has been voted the Greatest Canadian by the CBC (Communist Broadcasting Network)!!

Saskatchewan has been blessed by Tommy's legacy with: population growth, no provincial sales tax, good taxes, booming rural economy, thriving small towns, a small government that operates efficiently, good hospitals with no waiting lines and unions that are kept in checked and that look out for the public at large.

Oh yeah, I forgot, thats everywhere but Saskatchewan, and Canada for that matter. I find it very ironic that Canadians nominated a man whose policy of socialized medicine will be the ultimate downfall of the country.

Hey Everybody,

Its gonna be a long one today so I hope you are sitting down. I have received some emails the last couple of days, and as you can imagine, they weren't friendly. I appreciate the readership, but if you are going to comment, I think you should try and come up with something a little better than "loser".

I also want to take this opportunity to answer a comment that I received the other day. Allow me to post it so my responses make sense.

To the conservative Canadian named Kyle,Bush is not of above average intelligence. Karl Rove is a genius. oh, and your comment about how you'd do the same as the american soldier who shot an unarmed man just shows that you are no better than a terrorist who kills with the same indiscretion.I, myself, am a conservative. Your blog is so similar to that of Sean Hannity and Anne Coulter you make conservatives all look like a bunch of asses as they do. You my friend are just an angry young man from the same mould as Rush Limbaugh. Your partner, Mr. Klein, appears to be moderately angry but seems to alteast have some nice personal anecdotes to give his articles some life.

You really should try having a conversation with a liberal without biting his head off. It's really not that hard to do. It's all in the approach. Don't give away your cards, and tactfully challenge their points. You'll find that you can learn from what your "enemy" is thinking... and please, don't say that they don't think. That'll just show your age and inexperience. There are plenty of conservatives like myself who have friends who are liberal, conservative, and socialist. If you just band with your own, you'll find that your growth and path will take you along the lines of Limbaugh... and that is not a good thing. I didn't vote for Bush this year because I don't believe he did a good job. As a conservative, I believe in fiscal responsibility and I believe our constitution should not be bent. Especially for terrorists!

If you do plan to go into politics back in Canada, you should do it for the reasons of improving life for your fellow man and woman. Not for reasons of bashing left wing liberals. Remember, they think they are correct too. And for many things they probably are, but in political sport, concession is a sign of weakness. I'm from the old school. If I'm wrong I can be a man and admit to it. This is seen as weak by the chicken hawks who run the white house now. Let me tell you something, I went to Korea and fought for my country and saw many horrible things I wish no one would have to see. If you think I'm weak, so be it.That's why I wish young people like you who seem to have a lot of passion for politics to go into politics for the right reason. The world doesn't need another angry young politician. Too many of those.

I am of Christian faith and I often do readings at my church. However, I don't believe a man of no faith or a faith different than mine is an immoral man. An immoral man is a man who hides behind and uses the bible to commit an ILLEGAL WAR (this is a fact whether you choose to believe it or not). The men in the White House have used the bible as Usama Bin Laden, Ayatollah Khomeini have used the Koran. Back to your soldier story... the true test of faith is when you uphold what is right under the duress of your conditions. A man of faith, as it appears you claim to be, should never condone a man killing an unarmed man in vengeance/wrath. You can understand him, you can sympathize and you can even forgive him, but as a man of faith, you can never CONDONE such behaviour.

My advice to you, since you are still young, is as follows:
1. Don't side with the right on everything. Use your own mind and stop reading criticisms of topics. You seem as if you are borderline brainwashed. Make your own judgements.
2. Do not watch CNN Crossfire. Even though they have intelligent speakers, they act more like corporate lawyers defending their clients. If you've seen corporate lawyers in action, you'll know what I'm talking about.
3. O'Reilly, Coulter, Hannity, Limbaugh.... don't use anything they say for your arguments. They do not use reliable references. In fact, liberals like Al Frankin have made a career on their very weak or very untrue arguments.
4. If you must watch TV, watch Dennis Miller. He displays how intelligent conservatives should act. He challenges yet listens to people who disagree with him. I don't think anyone sees him as weak.
5. don't try to be funny. It's not in your character. I can see that very clearly in your writing. Your sarcasm isn't the type of sarcasm that sells funny, it sells asshole. Nothing personal, I just call it as I see it.
6. relax and enjoy life. You must learn to manage your surroundings before you decide that you are good enough to manage the population's best interests.
7. get a job outside of politics first. If politics is your cup of tea, an office job in the manufacturing sector would be your best starting spot.

You basically get all facets of society in a manufacturing job.I don't mean to offend you and it may appear as if I am attacking you. I am not attacking you, I am challenging you to not follow the path of the haters. The world is in need of people with intelligence and more importantly INTEGRITY. When you post a new article, please refrain from insults and please refrain from imposing your ideas as common sense for us all.

Nobody likes a preacher with as little credibility as yourself (being a graduate of law from Yale, I know that being a student of law is in no way credibility for knowing what is best for mankind). It isn't too late for you. Everybody has got to start somewhere if they want to get into politics. I will look at your angry posts as acts of passion, but if you want to truly enter the ring of politics, remember that you are accountable for what you say. With truly the best intentions,

AnonymousWashington D.C.Virginia

Okey dokey, Here we go.

First, I would like to thank the reader for taking the time to read and to reply. I also wish to extend my thanks to Anonymous for serving in Korea, an often overlooked war. Anytime you are stopping the Reds, I am a fan!!

Okay, first I think calling Bush dumb is completely unimaginative. Yes, he is not a polished speaker. Yes, he likes to hang out at his ranch. Yes, he has made some gaffes. This does not make him dumb. Left leaning people call Republicans dumb as a matter of course. It is as natural as breathing to them. Karl Rove is very smart, but W. is the president, and successfully defended that presidency against an onslaught by the media.

Second, I like Ann Coulter and Hannity. I like Rush too. That does not make me a right wing nut job nor does it make me angry. I think I am very even tempered, and since my guy won, I have absolutely nothing to be angry about. Except the fact that there is no hockey. However, I do retain the right to get angry if I want. That is my right. I dont think anyone should take crap they dont like laying down, I find it anti-American. Another point that I have made before, why is it that Republicans are "angry" and Democrats are "passionate".Kleiner is a little angry too (see newsletter post). I do include as many antecdotes as possible, but lately it has seemed inappropriate.

As for friends, most of my close friends are Democrats or independents. In my circle of about 12, three are Republicans. We discuss politics nearly ad nauseum. I have learned a lot from them and hopefully, they alot from me. I cannot recall one instance where we have fought. Plus, I am from Canada, I am nearly saturated with liberal ideals!!

I am with you on the fiscal responsibility. I think too much money is being spent. However, I am giving the benefit of the doubt given the wars going on. I am ok with money being spent for the greater good. I am sure some disagree, but this is my opinion. I am also

I have decided not to go into politics, at least in Canada. I have been through too many elections in Canada and feel that nothing will ever change their until the system changes. There is a big democratic deficit in Canada, and I think the country will dissolve before it is overcome. Also my opinion, feel free to discuss. As previous said, I am not angry and I do not think you are weak. I have not been to war and I have enormous respect for those who were. I would really like to be in the FBI or something like it.

Okay, the next thing is the illegal war. I respect your opinion, but what makes it illegal? Whose law? International law is, in my opinion, a farce. I think the UN is incredibly corrupt and exists soley to chastise the US and Israel. Further, I dont think international law has any real world application unless you have an army to back it up. This may be a short sighted view, but taking the moral highground only gets you so far in the real world. You cant just show up in Bagdhad and serve Saddam with a summons, so dont try and make those who try and do good into war criminals.

As for the soldier, I do support him. I have read that he had seen his friends killed in a similar manner. I would have done the same thing and I wager to say you would have too. The fact of the matter is that when it comes down to you or them, nearly everyone picks themselves.

Now to answer the advice.

1. I resent the brainwashed comment. Just because my opinions differ from yours does not make me brainwashed. I side with the right because that is where my sensibilities lay. I am very independent and judge things how I see fit.

2. I dont really like Crossfire, I used to watch it, but I grew tired of the constant bickering. Nothing really gets said ever. I do like James Carville though! When I can understand him!!

3. I could say the same thing for every person in the liberal media. See Dan Rather!!

4. I can't say enough good about Miller. He really cracks me up. I dont watch all that much tv these days though, as I dont have cable.

5. I really resent the asshole comment. I think it is ridiculous that you claim to be religious and then call me asshole. I am also a little ticked about the funny comment. I am quite funny. I am a novice writer and perhaps it doesnt show thru all that well. However, I do quite well in class and with my peers. Another point I would like to make is your ability to make sweeping judgments on my character from reading a few paragraphs. You sir are certainly a better man than I. And calling someone an asshole is quite personal, even if it is a judgment call.

6. I think I am also quite relaxed, some have suggested that they need to check me for a pulse. I really just dont want life to pass me by, I like to comment, just as your apparently do.

7.I have worked outside of politics for some time. I worked in HR for 5 years, and believe me, I have met my share of people. I think my cultural cross section is quite broad.

To conclude, I dont take offense, except to the asshole comment. I really do appreciate the feedback. The last point I want to get out is the preacher comment. It is true that no one likes a preacher. I would say the same thing to you sir. I give my opinion and you give yours. It seems that your comment was a little more preachy than what I have ever done. Telling me to relax? Drop the humor? Work in manufacturing?

Anyways, I know you think I lack credibility, but do you really think one needs to be completely credible to offer their opinion? I mean, celebrities offer it all the time. Jimmy Carter offers it, Clinton offers it. I have the right to opine on whatever I wish, whenever I wish. Until I start writing for a respected publication, I dont think credibility is an issue. NY Times not included (hello Duranty and Blair).

Alright, I am getting cramped, this one is done.

Kyle Out.
