Hey everyone, one again have to apologize for my prolonged absense. I have been partially laid up with a back ailment suffered at hockey. I think its time to hang up the skates for the summer.

Just a few small points today. First, I just want people to be aware of the whole Khadr situation and the Liberals involvement as such. I know they have denied the passport, but they are still thick as thieves with these admitted terrorists. It really says something about the anti-American sentiment within our government that they would rather get in bed with al-Queda members than throw a kind word of encouragement down south. Paul Martin is no different than Chretien (other than the accent) and no matter how much he tries to distance himself, they are cut from the same cloth.

Secondly, I was watching the CBC last night. I know it sucks but there was hockey on, I left for a while after the game and when I returned Counter-Spin was on and the war in Iraq was being discussed. They gave all kinds of air time to inarticulate hippies who bemoaned the "thousands of civilians" dying every day in Iraq and all the usual clap trap. This is fine as every has an opinion, but the young and claen cut man who was in favor of the war was hussled off air PDQ. Why doesn't CBC just bite the bullet and start buying Radio Saddam letterhead?

Kudos to the psychiatrist (psychologist) who had the marbles to stand up to the Khadr family and call Mrs. Khadr a child abuser. Real good stuff. I apologize for not remember the lady's name.

And just a quick mention of the U of Winnipeg's Campus Radio program this morning. It was a Women's Right program of some sort and what caught my attention was the woman who was being interviewed. She mentioned that she was really in favor of Bolshevism and Socialism etc. This woman then went on to introduce a song she had written that championed her individualism.

Priceless.

I'm out.

Monday, April 26, 2004

Hey everyone, another slow Monday.

Just another note on Joe Clark and his endorsement of Paul Martin. This man has got to be the anti-Midas, everything he touches turns bad. Instead of going out with some class, he will be forever remembered as a turncoat. Two thumbs and toe down to Mr. Clark, hope there is a life vest for you on the sinking ship SS Liberal. (I wonder if Paul Martin owns that one too...)

It looks like John Kerry's medal controversy just wont go away. He is now denying things he has said and denied already, completely forgetting what his stance seems to be. Now the talk is over who the medals belonged to and whether or not it was the whole medal or just the ribbons. Must be one of those "nuances" Mr. Kerry keeps talking about.

The point is if he cant keep this issue straight, how is he going to run the country? Will he forget where he has deployed troops? Where the White House is? Whether or not that SUV is his or his "families"? For all the hubub the left and the media (I know, same thing) make about W being dumb, it amazes me at the flubs Kerry gets away with.

The last thing I want to mention is that if the Democrats dont come up with a new strategy, they have lost the election. No matter what mud they sling, none of seems to stick to Bush. At least not in the minds of regular Americans. Hollywood types and Beltway Dems lap it up, but the average voter knows who to trust in regards to national security. And with the economy heating up, this election should be a W victory, albeit perhaps a slim win.

I'm out.

Happy Sunday everybody!

I just saw that Joe Clark said he would prefer Paul Martin rather than Stephen Harper for Prime Minister. What a joke, this old boy should get put out to pasture where no one can hear him. He did absolutely nothing to advance the cause of the right in Canada, and as such, he is in no position to speak out on this issue. He is nothing more than a tired and bitter old man. Is he gunning for a Liberal Senate post or what?

I'm out.

Saturday, April 24, 2004

Hey everyone, I must apologize for my prolonged absense, I have been busy working and it sucks because I have so much to say.

First, Paul Martin has met with Native leaders to discuss plans for wiping out native poverty. Now this does sound like a good idea and Mr. Martin has pledged to follow thru on his promise. However, this has been promised many, many times before without anything actually being done about it. The typical solution is to just throw more money at the problem and hope it goes away. What I would suggest in this case is a one time buy out of all the treaties and then an immediate cessation of all rights and priviledges ( I would do this with Quebec too). Though this may sound harsh, it would likely serve to bring most of the Natives out of the reserves and force them to become productive members of society. I know that some Natives are currently in the work force and blah, blah, blah. But we need an across the board solution for this problem, not just a quick fix monetary solution.

The major problem here is that there a great many people who depend upon this arrangement for their livelihoods. The chiefs, counsellors, lawyers and bureaucrats who administer this white elephant will fight tooth and nail against this if it ever came into being. First, the chiefs and counsellors of many Indian bands live pretty high on the hog with the rivers of Federal gravy rolling into reserve coffers every year. Its been my experience that very little of this money makes it into the hands of those who need it most. I work at an establishment that caters to the Native population, and it seems to very unfair that chiefs, counsellors and their families get all kinds of perks and demand a ridiculous amount of attention while other members of their band come in dressed in rags and looking like they have been without a square meal for weeks.

If the government money quit rolling in, they would be devastated and would lose the massive power and prestige they currently hold. But this is a matter of equality. Put them on even footing with every other Canadian and if they want to remain in politics, they will have to run for office like everyone else. And they would have to win fair and square. They would receive the one time pay out and would be free to pursue whatever avenue of employment they wish.

My guess is that the second most vocal opponent to this would be the Indian lawyers and civil servants who also take their piece of this huge pie. They too are dependant on the goverment throwing large sums of money in their direction with little regard for where it is going and how it is being used. If Canada were to made truly equal, they would be big losers as well.

If you think this wont work, take a look at Canadians of Japanese origin. In the first half of the last century, they were treated no better than Natives, and they were confined to internment camps during the Deuce. Once released from these camps, these Canadians have flourished and prospered to the point that they now rank amonst the highest earning Canadians as a group. Its the old Bibilical adage, give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach a man to fish.....

On to another topic, that of Svend Robinson. This is about the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of in modern Canadian politics. No one in the goverment or the media seems willing to call the man what he is, a thief. If Svend were a member of the Alliance or the Bloq, he would have been called on the carpet and dismissed quicker than you can say Parizeau!! He knew he was busted and is just trying cover his own ass. And dont give me this "sickness" excuse. What a load of crap, I cant say I blame him for trying but the people who are eating this shit up and asking for seconds should have their heads examined. I have had a head injury before and have yet to embark on a crime spree. Svend is just blowing smoke up everyone's asses and it makes me sick. If you or I went to a jewellry store and just helped ourselves to some merchandise would we get to keep our jobs and pension? Would the media and RCMP turn the other cheek?
No damn way!! It seems that stealing must be very chic in Canadian government these days, everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. Too bad Svend doesnt believe in God, because that is who he is eventually going to have to answer to.

I was going to say some things about John Kerry but its really becoming redundant. He flip flops and hums and hahs and really doesnt do anything. His war record is questionable (Though I dont agree with the witch hunting going on, he did serve his country, no matter what he did there), he cant decide if he is pro war or anti war, the Catholic Church wont give him Communion anymore...the list goes on. Do I really have to add to his misfortune? The polls are telling enough and by summer it will just be uglier.

Just a quick note on the CBC, can someone please pull the plug on these guys? (Except for hockey please) If they werent speaking English I would swear I was watching al-Jazeera. In addition to being anti-American, they have their heads so far up the Liberals asses that lump in Paul Martin's throat is Peter Mansbridge's chin.

To conculde, just want to wish Mr. Toomey good luck in Pennsylvania, the Republicans dont need a clown like Spectre anymore.

I'm out.

Tuesday, April 20, 2004

Hey everyone, its Tuesday, and I still have to work 13 hour friggin days so the posts will be short for a bit.

A quick question for everyone, does John Kerry have hearing problems? Its my uneducated opinion that he obviously cant hear a damn thing. Otherwise, why would he chastise W one week for doing nothing to combat high gas prices and then follow up with rant on Bush's alledged deal with the Saudis to lower the same gas prices? This guy truly is the king of the flip floppers, and the polls are starting to show it!!

As a footnote to my make W tougher speech yesterday, I would like to come out in favor of a pre-emptive strike against North Korea. Since the Democrats are now in favor of pre-emption (see Commisson, 9-11) then there should be no complaining, right?

To sum up for the day, just want to paraphrase and precis a little bit from the WSJ's Best of the Web Column. Studies have shown a dramatic drop in support for abortion on college campuses, to which B of the Web quipped..."Does anyone consider that many of the kids who might have favored abortion in such a poll are not around to do so because their parents are also in favor of abortion...??" Not the exact words but very poignant all the same.

Have a great day!

I'm out.

Monday, April 19, 2004

Hey everyone! Sorry for my absense, I have spent the last few days in Grand Forks!

Just a quick post today because I have been very out of the loop news wise. I have no idea what is going on in the world so I am just going to wing it.

It is my opinion that George W. Bush needs to get tough. Tough to the point that he gets fire in his belly and sandpaper on his tongue. No more Mr. Nice guy in any situation, not with the UN, not with dissentters in his own, not with Mr. Kerry and the Democrats, not with any foreign dignitaries nor with any terrorists. Everyone has stepped up attacks and accustations against W, so its time he followed suit.

I would start by spending a weekend with Mr. Sharon et al in Israel. Get the feeling of how to conduct business Israeli style, which is very reminiscent of old school Chicagoland gansters. (You hurt one of ours, I kill 10 of yours, that kind of tough) Following that weekend, return Stateside and have a press conference. Call out some of these weak kneed, Saddam loving press corps and dress them down in front of their colleagues. Be merciless. Next, take on the Richard Clarkes and Viniste's. Expose them for what they are and do not mince words, call them exactly like you see them.

Once those are checked off, take on the Democrats. Ask them why they continually complain about everything, and then offer solutions that are the same thing seen from a different angle. Ask them what they would do different and remind Americans how soft they are on terrorism and how they are fundamentally anti-military. Then put on a show of force world wide to remind everyone that despite their griping and moaning, you are the big dog on the block, and your bark is a hell of lot less scary than your bite. Park a couple of carrier groups just outside North Korea and tell France you are coming over to annex Allied cemetaries from the last couple of times we helped kick out their German occupiers.

For the coup de grace, send an extra division or two to Iraq and turn them loose. Hunt down and kill (not capture) every last insurgent you can find. Be completely ruthless and let every person know that id they aid or abet a terrorist, they are a terrorist as well and are subject to swift justice. Flatten a couple of terrorist strongholds and watch the rats desert the ship and high tail it back to Syria and Iran. Let a few F-16s tail them all the way home, violate their air space and remind them that they are biting off way more than they can chew.

So thats my challenge to W. Since people want to call you a cowboy anyways, throw on a black stetson and strap on a couple of Colts and show them who the sheriff is!!!

I'm out.

Friday, April 16, 2004

Its Friday!! Today I am going to post a few times since I have the whole day off with nothing to do. The first thing I want to mention is the whole "blood for oil" mantra that the war activists love to chant. Since Iraq has been liberated and Iraqi oil put under Iraqi control, does anyone know what has happened to gas prices? If you said, "they have gone up" you would be 100% correct. Iraq's slow crawl towards democracy has made its totalitarian neighbors a little nervous about their future as oil producing dictators who keep the profits for themselves while starving their citizenry. If their own people rise up and demand democracy, how will they pay for gold toilets? In response to the American led effort in Iraq, OPEC has cut production and sent gas prices rocketing upward in an effort to somehow strike back at America.

The point I am valiantly trying to make here is that since this has become evident, I dont hear the blood for oil screams anymore. In fashionable lefty circles, the complaints and placards have changed to a dizzying combination of different complaints and slogans. So it would seem to me that these protesters had no real deep seeded concern over American servicemen and women spilling blood to get oil. They really just wanted something to bitch about and to try and embarrass W.

I am not surprised at this turn of events, but rather saddened by the lengths people will go to protest something they have no clue about. Its a poorly kept secret that many activist organizations pay students and others to come to their protests, even distributing pre-made signs and placards. These people, in my opinion, really just like to complain about stuff. There may be a core group of people who feel strongly about an issue, but I bet the great percentage of people who attend rallies dont care one way or another about what is going on. They are likely there for pot or to meet chicks. It is their right to protest and everything, it just kind of sticks in my craw is all. I saw an episode of the Simpsons once that had people in front of the White House holding signs saying, "Everything is fine!". That really cracked me up and I think if I ever get the chance to go to Washington, I am going to do that.

I apologize for the rambling, this whole deal seems to be going nowhere. However, I think I will press on regardless, just to see what happens.

I still think its funny that the Democrats have "given up blood" for oil in favor of "lower our gas prices". Dont most of these granola eaters want higher gas prices so they can make everyone ride bikes and drive electric cars? I think this is as clear an indication as any that they just out and out hate George W. on a personal rather than a politcal level. Everything he does is criticized, even if it meets that they have to contradict earlier statements. How can you hate someone so much that you are willing to make yourself look like a flip flopping ass to do so? Its really beyond me. To top it all off, the alternative, John Kerry has said very little in the way of what he would do or would have done differently. Most of the things he says are right in step with the Republican administrations plans. The only two differences I can see on the surface is him repealing tax cuts for the wealthy and getting more chummy with the Europeans. Strange things are afoot in America these days.

I think this next week I am going to try and have a day where I go through some of the reasons why Dems and lefties hate W. I am pretty sure that its a case of penis envy, as in W has a big set of marbles and it scares the hell out of these purse toting pansies. (Note to you lovely ladies who may or may not read this, I think purses are an excellent accessory that really make your eyes look pretty. They are just not appropriate attire when dealing with terrorists ya know. Way too fem). More on this later.

Anyways, just a quick joke to end with.

A man and woman are out on their first date when the woman leans over and says, "You know, I am bi-sexual" The man is shocked but intrigued, and says in reply. "Tell me more" to which the woman replies, "You know, bi-sexual. You buy me things, and I get sexual!!"

I'm out.

Thursday, April 15, 2004

Hey everybody, hope your Thursday is more exciting than mine! I am bored to tears and have no real desire to write anything profound today, so maybe just a few snippets.

First, the new bib Laden tape. Its kind of goos to see those purse toting Euro sweethearts grow some marbles and stand up to this clown. If Usama thought he would score points with this move he is sorely mistaken. He has effectively tied the hands of European leaders and forced them to stay the course in the fight on terrorism for the foreseeable future now. Any country that withdraws or waivers now will look like it is bowing to the demands of a terrorist. I wonder what John Kerry thinks of his Euro pals talking to tough to bin Laden. So much for his reaching out to the world community. And hey, didnt bin Laden once communicate with video tapes? Is he too scared or mangled or dead to do it now?? I just find that kind of interesting.

I totally lost my train of thought on the second item and it seems it was once the more interesting of the two, but whatever, I may remember and I may not, who is to know.

The third item is a little piece of Canadiana. Everyone's favorite kook MP, Svend Robinson, has admitted to shoplifting jewellry. This is kind of sweet. Of course, since he is way left of center, its not his fault because he has a disease of some sort and is seeking medical help rather than going to the clink. Naturally, the NDP socialists have rallied around their hero as he makes tearful apolgies. Lets hope they can find the ever elusive "root causes" of this social injustice.

I'm out because I cant remember anything else I was going to talk about.

Wednesday, April 14, 2004

Hey everyone! Hope Wednesday has been kind to you. I want to comment on W's speech last night. I thought it was excellent, though I think my boy needs a haircut. Anyways, I specifically liked how he didnt bow to any pressure on Iraq, but rather gave a thinly veiled warning to anyone (insurgents?) that try and force American to its knees. His speech showed strength and conviction and served as a reminder to people that war is never easy. There are going to be bumps and missteps along the way, but the course must be maintained. By showing that he and his administration mean business, Bush has taken the public opinion momentum away from the outlaw terrorists.

His message was clear, tough and concise and in total juxtaposition to John Kerry, the flip flop specialist.

Make no mistake, America is in for the long haul. I also like that he mentioned and discounted the comparisons between Iraq and Vietnam. The Democrats would love for this image to stick as it plays right into their hippie, war protestor hands. What they dont realize is that comparison has to be hard on the moral of the troops, perhaps the Democrats are doing this on purpose? If so, they have sunk even lower and keep in mind that this is difficult to do when you have John F- - - - Kerry at the helm. I think I had mentioned that he called Sadr's militia "legitimate". I am not going to get started on this nonsense.

On a happier note, there has been more evidence undercoverd in the Martha Stewart saga. It seems the juror, Chappell Hartridge, who had previously shown a bias against the wealthy, also forgot to mention that he had previous problems with cocaine and embezzling money from a Little League outfit. It seems to me that a new trial should be in order if the jurors were not all on the up and up. Good news indeed.

FREE MARTHA!!

I am out for now, there is hockey on and it needs to be watched. Then its outside to stake out the garden.

Tuesday, April 13, 2004

Good morning everyone, hope your Easter holiday went well. I am awfully tired after a lot of work, so I will post a little now and then some later on today.

The first topic I want to get to today is "useful idiots". These people come from all walks of life, from college student to professors to media people and celebrities and even Archbishops. They espouse drivel ranging from the well worn Bush pogroms to statements suggesting that the terrorists actually have some valid concerns. I know that their hearts are in the right place, but there heads are obviously so far up their ass that the lump in their throats is their chin.

As the old saying goes, the "enemy of my enemy is my friend". This axiom rings so true it hurts. If you are so inclined, do a google search on letters that Usama bin Laden has written or released to the media. Reading these letters one could easily mistake for a speech from any garden variety Democrat or human rights advocate makes me sick. Anyone who supports these murderous devils on any level should have their head examined. Terrorists claim that Westerners (Americans) and Zionists are ruining the world and should be killed, and people gobble it up and go in search of "root" causes, constantly running around in circles. Does anyone notice that the terrorists kill more Muslims and other people than they do Westerners? Bombings in Bali and Africa are perfect proof that these people are just plain, everyday killers.

Yet people still find sympathy for them. What may be worse are people who say they condemn terrorism, but do nothing about it. Ignoring the problem is just as bad as aiding the problem, because by allowing it to go on, you are giving de facto permission for it to happen. Its sad that countries feel stuck between their anti-Americanism and their detest for terrorism and by hiding in the shadows and not taking a side, they are plunging the world into more danger.

More on this later. I just want to briefly mention the emergence of the new and awesome political party in the USA. This party is none other than the Democrats. These Democrats can do no wrong and wouldnt mind taking a serious bite out of terrorism, politcal correctness be damned!! They also have the foresight to beef up security where needed and prevent a host of attacks on American soil and abroad. Wait you say, are these the same Democrats that are today trying to turn 9/11 into a politcal tool?? No way, I answer, these are the pre-Bush Democrats, the ones that knew it all and would have gone to war and stopped terrorism if it werent for that pesky, George W.!!
Darn him anyways, now there is no way to show America how good they really were. Nuts!! Just wait a second, they said, why dont we have a bi-partisan (hee hee) commission and then we can blame the Republicans and come out smelling like roses. Wooeeee!! Thats the ticket right there.

Thanks for putting up with my sarcasm!!

I'm out til later.

Saturday, April 10, 2004

Hey everybody, hope your Saturday is going well thus far. I am again kind of unsure as to what I should post on, but I am confident that if I just keep typing something will come to me. The whole 9-11 Commission thing still really bothers me, its sad to see America continually looking inward to try and lay blame for the terrorist attacks. Few people in the media (and remember this is an extremely vocal minority that is making waves right now) seem to want to acknowledge that there is a war going on and wish to return to the Carter era methods of appeasment. Ignoring terrorists and/or asking them whats wrong will not make the problem go away.

Osama declared war on EVERY American in 1998, not just Republicans and conservatives. Those Democrats and leftists who think they are currying favor with the Middle Eastern Fundamentalists and Europeans are sorely mistaken. They are just making themselves "useful idiots" to borrow a phrase. The folly of their claims is wonderfully illustrated by Ted Kennedy's Vietnam slur. If one compares apples to apples here, there is nothing even remotely close about the two conflicts. Millions have been liberated in the Middle East, the Armed Forces are committed and well supplied, there is no draft and no threat of provoking a global nuclear conflict. In addition to this, the enemy is very different.

I wonder why those on the left are supportive of fundamentalist Muslims, who seemingly are in favor of everything the left is against? The connection with the Communists is very natural, but the continued support that the fundamentalists receive despite their stone age values is beyond me. The only link I can think of is their mutual hate for America.

I think I am going to reserve my anti-UN diatribe for tomorrow or maybe Monday. On second thought I will save it for Monday, I think Easter Sunday should be kept friendly, so maybe some hockey or baseball or something easy peasy.

I'm out.

Friday, April 09, 2004

Happy Easter everyone! Hope your Good Friday is going well and that you have attended a service of some flavor today!! I didnt post yesterday as I spent the entire day stateside dropping off my law school deposit and looking into housing and all that kind of thing. So I will try and include a little more stuff today.

First of all, the 9-11 Commission. As stated before, I think this is so stupid. Trying to lay blame with one administration or another instead of sticking it to the terrorists is an exercise in folly, pure and simple. This little commission, bi-partisan or not, is nothing more than politcal theatre designed to somehow put all the 9-11 blame in George W. Bush's lap. This is clearly evident given the fact that 9-11 families are routinely appearing on major news networks, all seemingly reading the same speech. Dont get me wrong, I understand that they are in pain and grieving, but someone (Democrats) are cheapening the grieving process by making them Democratic Party shills.

The only funny part of the Commission was Sen. Bob Kerrey mistakenly calling Condi "Dr. Clarke" and then asking what she did about the USS Cole bombing. Very funny stuff indeed.

On a more serious note, the fighting has once again intensified in Iraq and contrary to what the pinko media is reporting, the US military is inflicting heavy losses on the insurgents. What I would really like to see here is perhaps a one to two week period where the politically correct gloves are taken off and the Army and Marines are allowed to conduct some old school maneouvres. You know like in the Deuce, when the Army ran into a stronghold or defensive position, they simply stopped and called in massive artillery and air strikes until the spot was a smoldering rubble. Now before any of you bleeding hearts cry foul, keep in mind that these tactics would and should scare any zealots back into their senses. If I was an insurgent and knew the US Army was going to attack without its hands tied by the media and the Geneva convention, I would wet my pants, and jump the first camel back to Tehran or Damascus or wherever.

Let Rummy run the show and have a no holds barred offensive. If people from your city or village use that town as a base of attack against servicemen or women, said town gets burned to the ground. A 24 period of round the clock artillery and air strikes would make the town a parking lot and make the next village down the road think twice about mounting any resistance. Better yet, the townspeople would think twice before harboring any of these insurgents. Pull up to the outskirts and offer them the choice. Turn out the rebels or kiss your ass good bye. Follow that threat up with a few low level passes by some F-18s and A-10s and dollars to donuts says you will have your hands full of new prisoners.

Pussyfooting around these terrorists just gives them more incentive to carry out attacks. If they knew each attack would be met with a tenfold escalation, hopefully they would be smart enough to realize that their offensive would be doomed. Further emphasize the point by mentioning to Syria, Iran, Chechnya et al, that for every one of their citizens captured or killed in Iraq, repurcussions will steadily heightened. I doubt that any one of them wish to play hardball with the USA.

While this two week vacation from political correctness was on, I would run a parallel diplomatic campaign to remind the world who was in charge. Tell Germany, France and Russia that every incident of them lending aid to or profiting from a relationship with Hussein's Iraq will be exposed. Tell the two bit dictators that populate the UN General Assembly that their free rides have expired and put them on the next cargo flight back home and then send a memo to Arafat that you know where he hides and you just passed that info on to Israeli attack helicopters. Watch the poop hit the fan then. Of course the left wing media and intelligencia will be up in arms in righteous indignation, but let them complain. The calm that follows the shit storm would do wonders to convince these people that they are light years out of touch.

Now, to turn 180 degrees, I just want to wish everyone a happy and safe Easter weekend. Take time to reflect on what this holiday means and to give thanks for what we have and for the peace we enjoy. Keep the servicemen and women of MANY nations currently serving overseas in your hearts and prayers.

I'm out.

Wednesday, April 07, 2004

Hey Everybody, I trust your Wednesday is going well!! My nose is healing up quite well today, which is a bonus. It is still quite tender to the touch but the cuts/bruising are diminishing radidly and I have only the faintest hint of black eyes.

In addition to this malady, I have decided that I need an infusion of vitamins. I have terrible trouble staying awake these days, even in the early evening. So now that everyone nows that, on to more important topics.

I am off to Grand Forks, ND and points beyond tomorrow to drop off my law school deposit and get some more info on housing and the like. I have also emailed the Students for George W. Bush inquiring how I can volunteer in the next election. I am beside myself with excitement over my upcoming studies and the impending elections in both Canada and the United States. I feel that Canada is ripe for Conservative win, which would be a Godsend for the country. We need 5 more years of Liberalism as bad as we need two official languages. I pray that the greed and depravity finally convince the eastern Canadian sheep to realize that voting for the Liberals just because the media says so is a wasted vote. I am even hopeful that the NDP make inroads in Liberal held territory so the Left can feel the negative impacts of vote splitting.

Each passing day seems to give Americans another reason not to vote for John Kerry. Yesterday it was having Ted Kennedy's weight (pun intended) thrown behind the Democratic candidate, while today it was Kerry questioning the warrant put out for Sadr's arrest and musing that this murderous little bugger might have some valid points. If there is a man alive in America today doing more to undermine the war effort in the hearts and minds of Americans, I have yet to see or hear of him. Or her, sorry ladies.

I also saw a little note that said the 9/11 Commission is reconsidering Clarke's testimony in light of recent developments. Poor fella, hope this doesnt hurt his book sales.

Finally, (sorry, I really tired) there is an excellent piece on Best of the Web today detailing the heights anti-Americanism has reached. Check it out if you have the time, its very interesting and thought provoking.

I'm out. And going to see Starsky and Hutch!!

Tuesday, April 06, 2004

Hey everyone, hope your Tuesday is going well.

My post is pretty late today as I had the unfortunate pleasure of breaking my nose at hockey last night. The Tylenol 3's have kept me pretty woozy for most of the day so I really havent paid much attention to any news outlets or even any blogs. I heard about Ted Kennedy weighing in (pun intended) on George W. Bush and calling Iraq Vietnam. Why doesnt someone put a muzzle on this old windbag? Keep in mind who his Senate colleague is when its time to go to the polls in November.

Another interesting tidbit is the discovery of the Clinton administration's massive document on its anti-terror activities. You know the one that doesnt mention al-Quida and only brings up Bin Laden a grand total of four times. I have said recently that blaming each other for 9/11 is ridiculous, and I stick by that, however I hope that this revelation will pour water on this stupid 9/11 commission and make Richard Clarke an un-pleasant memory and perhaps a trivia question in the footnotes of history.

I also saw a very interesting article on the WSJ's Best of the Web column. It seems that Ontario has allowed Muslims the option of trying some matters (family law etc) before the sharia courts. I understand that Canada is very liberal as a whole and tries ever so desperately to be open minded and accepting of diversity in order that we might seem "cool" like those Europeans, but this is nothing short of outrageous. It sets a very dangerous precedent that in my mind will only hasten the demise of Canada. If every small interest group gets its own way and its own courts, then what is the point of having a country? Canada is already far too lenient with any minority that raises its voice above a whisper.

If, hypothetically, this idea catches on and other minorities are allowed to have their own courts, then how does one decide which court one is to be tried in? Do you shop around for the best deal and then convert to the appropriate religion or belief system as needed? I think this will create a sort of legal apartheid and lead to chaos. Since Canada tends to pride itself on being open and "progressive", what would happen if a Muslim homosexual was tried under sharia law for some minor offense? I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I think that if it came out during trial that this man or woman was gay, they would have the displeasure of being showered with rocks or some other barbarous sentence.

One country should have one set of laws (I'm looking at you Quebec) and thats that. People should be free to come to Canada and not be persecuted for their beliefs or cultures, but the price of that freedom is adhering to and embracing the laws and customs of your adopted homeland.

I hope everyone saw those pictures of John Kerry playing football!! What a nerd, must have had a Frenchie teach him to catch!!

Why do the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (insert team name here) play on artifical turf??

Hey everyone, hope your Monday is going well!!

This whole 9/11 Commission and the subsequent blame game that has resulted just may be the most ridiculous thing I have heard in ages. What is especially ridiculous are the Democrats and their supporters such as Moveon.org who have used this opportunity to try and score some politcal points against the Republicans. The move-on ad that lays all the blame at President Bush's feet is quite hilarious. The narrator uses his most menacing voice to announce that Bush did "nothing for months". It makes for very good theatre but the reality is these kooks have to be the most short sighted and/or memory challenged I know. Few people on the left or in the media (Same thing?) want to mention the 8 years that the Democrats had to do something about terrorism, aside from shooting up camels and bombing aspirin factories.

The blame should still be placed squarely where it belongs, with the terrorists. These people hate the Western world and America in particular, so handing out blame to different groups is not the answer. I am sure Osama or whatever is left of him is laughing his ass off watching this mud slinging from his dank cave in Pakistan. Someone needs to re-focus this effort soon, but dont hold your breath waiting for any Democrat to do it. If, Heaven forbid, they form the next government, my bet is they spend the first four years blaming Bush for everything still. I think their hatred runs so deep that they have in essence paralyzed themselves and prevented anything constructive from being accomplished. All this of infighting just steels the resolve of terrorists, because it gives them the perception of victory.

I read on the WSJ's Best of the Web today that although Senator Kerry promised 10 million new jobs, there are only 8.4 million unemployed people in America. Perhaps he is also thinking of bussing in girls to the Kennedy compound with the hopes of increasing the birthrate?? Does this man even think before he speaks?

Another good tidbit about Hollywood and Democrats. I forget where I read this so I apologize to whomever I am borrowing this from. When Al Gore met Courtney Love at a fundraiser recently, Gore approached Ms. Love and declared himself a "big fan" to which Courtney responded, "Yeah, name a song"

That is just priceless, I would have loved to seen old Al's face, maybe that wooden expression might have changed, if just for an instant.

Many kudos to Ezra Levant and company for launching their new conservative magazine, the Western Standard. I just picked up a copy today and it is awesome. It is the anti-CBC in every sense of the term. A pro-Western, pro-conservative and pro-American magazine that finally gives a voice to the millions of Canadians who dont follow the official party line. Perhaps they will print my article on limiting CBC's airtime to a few hours every Saturday night during hockey season.

Thats about it for today!!

I'm out.

Saturday, April 03, 2004

Hey everyone, hope your Saturday is going well! I am just watching the Edm-Vcr game right now and taking this opportunity to post before the 2nd period starts. The Oil are down 2-1 right now but seem to have a lot of jump so hopefully they can pull even and get these much needed two points. That would set up a very exciting Sunday game between Colorado and Nashville to decide the final playoff spot in the West.

The latest economic news from the US appears to be very promising, with over a quarter million new jobs recently created. Of course the Democrats are still not satisfied and feel these new jobs are not of a high enough calibre. John Kerry weighed in with a promise to create 10 million new jobs in the first 4 years (must be new tax collectors for the IRS) and to condemn the Bush administration for the outsourcing of tech jobs. What I find very interesting about this debate is that Kerry's wife, Theresa Heinz-Kerry, has the majority of her production facilities located outside the United States. These facilities employ 72% of her total workforce. Kind of sounds like a case of the pot calling the kettle black to me.

More to come following the 2nd period.

Friggin Oilers are getting blown out. I know they have battled hard over the last few games but they would not have been in this situation if they would have had their heads surgically removed from their asses after the Heritage Classic. Anyways, bring on baseball, the Braves are on TBS April 6th, and that is good news. I am going to refrain from watching their games, however, as everything I touch recently seems to wilt and die. I am going to content myself with cheering from afar.

I'm out.

Friday, April 02, 2004

Hey everyone, hope your Friday is going well!! With apologies to anyone looking for Kerry bashing today, I am going to pass the opportunity up today in order to concentrate on something a little closer to home, and then maybe something fun.

I want to mention the new budget brought down by the NDP government in Saskatchewan. Specifically I want to concentrate on their tax increases and the fact that they are now not ruling out health care premiums. The NDP campaigned in the last election not on the strength of their record, but rather on scare tactics and the promise to promote Saskatchewan's "Wide Open Future". These new tax increases have effectively sealed Saskatchewan's fate in my opinion. We are now years or even decades away from being a "have" province. No small business owner is his or her right mind would want to locate in Saskatchewan, and as such we are faced with a rapidly eroding tax base with no new prospects on the horizon. The best and brightest young people are leaving in droves to pursue greener pastures in other provinces or abroad. Of all the people I graduated with, perhaps a handful are still in Saskatchewan, and I cant say I blame them. I myself have bolted for Manitoba and will soon be making the jump to the US. Hopefully to stay.

Sooner or later one would think that these socialist governments would realize that oppressive taxes do nothing to spur the economy or to help the populace. It just gives people one more reason to leave if they have the ways and means to do so. In the near future the only people left in Saskatchewan will be farmers, the destitute and those old hippy college professors at the U of R who still think Communism would be good if only it were "done right". At least this should keep the NDP happy because they have 2 of those 3 groups in their back pocket vote wise. The old hippies are red through and through while the poor are easily swayed with promises of more social funding and suggestions that the Sask Party would cut the minimum wage.

I find it to be pretty hilarious that the same party who gave us Tommy the Commie is now considering user fees to prop up their white elephant health care system. That old pinko must be rolling in his grave.

To my American friends and relatives, please take a look at Saskatchewan as an excellent case study for what happens when left leaning governments have too much power and impose their heinous taxes. They are a crushing burden to bear in the name of politcal correctness and the socialist/leftist utopia. Keep this in mind when you are casting your votes in November.

To conclude, just want to wish the US Army and Marines great success in killing the butchers of Fallujah. This atrocity will only serve to set back the cause of the foreign insurgents who are trying to destabilze Iraq. Democracy is being born and taking its first steps, no matter what any Democrats say.

Hug a Republican today!!!

A quick joke before I go:

What do you call cheese that isnt yours?

NACHO CHEESE!!!

Thursday, April 01, 2004

Good morning everyone!! I woke up today and the sun was shining and the birds were chirping and all was well. That is until I went online and started some chatting on MSN. I have some friends that are a little liberal and thats fine with me because variety is the spice of life. What gets my goat is that when debating, liberals quickly turn to the worn out axioms about Bush when they are losing a debate. Haliburton this, No blood for oil that, Bush is no statesman. All that crap gives me a headache to no end.

I held me cool for well over an hour and then finally had to quit before I started bleeding out my eyes. One of the main points of contention was the link, or lack thereof, between Al Qaida and Iraq. It seems to me that since the terror bombings in Spain, there has been suspiciously little mention of any doubt that this link existed. There is just too much evidence for this link not to exist. And unless any of you liberals were there and had round the clock access to Saddam and his cohorts, please stop denying any connection.

After this little set to, I tried my very best to change the subject, but was invariably dragged back into the fracas. I tried to switch the topic to Russia and their new strongman Putin, but in a matter of seconds the topic was changed to the 2000 election. I mentioned that Putin was ex KGB and was accused of perhaps of trying to fix Russia's election and was rebutted with the fact that Bush Sr. was once director of the CIA and likely fixed the 2000 election. This totally pushed me over the edge, can no Democrat get over this?? Those who live in the past are condemned to repeat its mistakes. Remember that.

This whole little episode has me so choked today. I can hardly think straight enough to type! To really make matters worse, my friend had to conclude with some more wordly affairs. Mainly his opinion that Bush is a poor statesman and that suicide bombing is effective. Some foreign leaders dont like W. because he is prepared to talk tough and back it up. Dictators and crackpots know they arent going to receive any more free rides from America, if they make moves that threaten America or her allies, they will be reprimanded. Their only defence know is to speak out against Bush on the world stage. Some are successful but others just look like idiots. People know that Bush is trying to make the world a better place and petty jealousy and partisan politics prevent a great many people from acknowledging this fact. People should realize that some countries and some people hate America. Period. Nothing GWB says or does will change this, and asking people about their grievances or looking for the "root" problem will not help. That is just sticking your head in the sand, putting your ass in the air and saying, "Kick me right here boys!!"

I dont even think I will dignify the suicide bombers thing with a response. Its out and out murder and doing it for your god or your cause does not make it any better. It doesnt bring peace and it doesnt bring about resolution, it just heightens the anger and the conflict.

Just want to close with a quick thought, which is a little dated now but a thought all the same. During all the protests to mark the one year anniversary of the start of the War in Iraq, did anyone notice if there were any Iraqis there? Were they even invited? Would they even attend? I find it sick that people would protest the liberation of an oppressed people. How very sad.

I'm out.
