Hey everybody, hope your Thursday is more exciting than mine! I am bored to tears and have no real desire to write anything profound today, so maybe just a few snippets.
First, the new bib Laden tape. Its kind of goos to see those purse toting Euro sweethearts grow some marbles and stand up to this clown. If Usama thought he would score points with this move he is sorely mistaken. He has effectively tied the hands of European leaders and forced them to stay the course in the fight on terrorism for the foreseeable future now. Any country that withdraws or waivers now will look like it is bowing to the demands of a terrorist. I wonder what John Kerry thinks of his Euro pals talking to tough to bin Laden. So much for his reaching out to the world community. And hey, didnt bin Laden once communicate with video tapes? Is he too scared or mangled or dead to do it now?? I just find that kind of interesting.
I totally lost my train of thought on the second item and it seems it was once the more interesting of the two, but whatever, I may remember and I may not, who is to know.
The third item is a little piece of Canadiana. Everyone's favorite kook MP, Svend Robinson, has admitted to shoplifting jewellry. This is kind of sweet. Of course, since he is way left of center, its not his fault because he has a disease of some sort and is seeking medical help rather than going to the clink. Naturally, the NDP socialists have rallied around their hero as he makes tearful apolgies. Lets hope they can find the ever elusive "root causes" of this social injustice.
I'm out because I cant remember anything else I was going to talk about.
