Hey everyone, hope your Friday is going well!! With apologies to anyone looking for Kerry bashing today, I am going to pass the opportunity up today in order to concentrate on something a little closer to home, and then maybe something fun.

I want to mention the new budget brought down by the NDP government in Saskatchewan. Specifically I want to concentrate on their tax increases and the fact that they are now not ruling out health care premiums. The NDP campaigned in the last election not on the strength of their record, but rather on scare tactics and the promise to promote Saskatchewan's "Wide Open Future". These new tax increases have effectively sealed Saskatchewan's fate in my opinion. We are now years or even decades away from being a "have" province. No small business owner is his or her right mind would want to locate in Saskatchewan, and as such we are faced with a rapidly eroding tax base with no new prospects on the horizon. The best and brightest young people are leaving in droves to pursue greener pastures in other provinces or abroad. Of all the people I graduated with, perhaps a handful are still in Saskatchewan, and I cant say I blame them. I myself have bolted for Manitoba and will soon be making the jump to the US. Hopefully to stay.

Sooner or later one would think that these socialist governments would realize that oppressive taxes do nothing to spur the economy or to help the populace. It just gives people one more reason to leave if they have the ways and means to do so. In the near future the only people left in Saskatchewan will be farmers, the destitute and those old hippy college professors at the U of R who still think Communism would be good if only it were "done right". At least this should keep the NDP happy because they have 2 of those 3 groups in their back pocket vote wise. The old hippies are red through and through while the poor are easily swayed with promises of more social funding and suggestions that the Sask Party would cut the minimum wage.

I find it to be pretty hilarious that the same party who gave us Tommy the Commie is now considering user fees to prop up their white elephant health care system. That old pinko must be rolling in his grave.

To my American friends and relatives, please take a look at Saskatchewan as an excellent case study for what happens when left leaning governments have too much power and impose their heinous taxes. They are a crushing burden to bear in the name of politcal correctness and the socialist/leftist utopia. Keep this in mind when you are casting your votes in November.

To conclude, just want to wish the US Army and Marines great success in killing the butchers of Fallujah. This atrocity will only serve to set back the cause of the foreign insurgents who are trying to destabilze Iraq. Democracy is being born and taking its first steps, no matter what any Democrats say.

Hug a Republican today!!!

A quick joke before I go:

NACHO CHEESE!!!

I'm out.
