Hey everybody, hope your Saturday is going well thus far. I am again kind of unsure as to what I should post on, but I am confident that if I just keep typing something will come to me. The whole 9-11 Commission thing still really bothers me, its sad to see America continually looking inward to try and lay blame for the terrorist attacks. Few people in the media (and remember this is an extremely vocal minority that is making waves right now) seem to want to acknowledge that there is a war going on and wish to return to the Carter era methods of appeasment. Ignoring terrorists and/or asking them whats wrong will not make the problem go away.
Osama declared war on EVERY American in 1998, not just Republicans and conservatives. Those Democrats and leftists who think they are currying favor with the Middle Eastern Fundamentalists and Europeans are sorely mistaken. They are just making themselves "useful idiots" to borrow a phrase. The folly of their claims is wonderfully illustrated by Ted Kennedy's Vietnam slur. If one compares apples to apples here, there is nothing even remotely close about the two conflicts. Millions have been liberated in the Middle East, the Armed Forces are committed and well supplied, there is no draft and no threat of provoking a global nuclear conflict. In addition to this, the enemy is very different.
I wonder why those on the left are supportive of fundamentalist Muslims, who seemingly are in favor of everything the left is against? The connection with the Communists is very natural, but the continued support that the fundamentalists receive despite their stone age values is beyond me. The only link I can think of is their mutual hate for America.
I think I am going to reserve my anti-UN diatribe for tomorrow or maybe Monday. On second thought I will save it for Monday, I think Easter Sunday should be kept friendly, so maybe some hockey or baseball or something easy peasy.
I'm out.
