Just a super brief thought. If Democrats/left wingers/conspiracy nuts etc., think G.W. Bush is so dumb, and he beat you guys in two straight elections.....doesn't that make you dumber than him?
Please discuss and think of new ways to call me Nazi, racist, homophobe or whatever your insult du jour is? I tell ya, those insults really help your cause!!

To the conservative Canadian named Kyle,
Bush is not of above average intelligence. Karl Rove is a genius. oh, and your comment about how you'd do the same as the american soldier who shot an unarmed man just shows that you are no better than a terrorist who kills with the same indiscretion.
I, myself, am a conservative. Your blog is so similar to that of Sean Hannity and Anne Coulter you make conservatives all look like a bunch of asses as they do. You my friend are just an angry young man from the same mould as Rush Limbaugh. Your partner, Mr. Klein, appears to be moderately angry but seems to alteast have some nice personal anecdotes to give his articles some life.
You really should try having a conversation with a liberal without biting his head off. It's really not that hard to do. It's all in the approach. Don't give away your cards, and tactfully challenge their points. You'll find that you can learn from what your "enemy" is thinking... and please, don't say that they don't think. That'll just show your age and inexperience.
There are plenty of conservatives like myself who have friends who are liberal, conservative, and socialist. If you just band with your own, you'll find that your growth and path will take you along the lines of Limbaugh... and that is not a good thing.
I didn't vote for Bush this year because I don't believe he did a good job. As a conservative, I believe in fiscal responsibility and I believe our constitution should not be bent. Especially for terrorists!
If you do plan to go into politics back in Canada, you should do it for the reasons of improving life for your fellow man and woman. Not for reasons of bashing left wing liberals. Remember, they think they are correct too. And for many things they probably are, but in political sport, concession is a sign of weakness. I'm from the old school. If I'm wrong I can be a man and admit to it. This is seen as weak by the chicken hawks who run the white house now. Let me tell you something, I went to Korea and fought for my country and saw many horrible things I wish no one would have to see. If you think I'm weak, so be it.
That's why I wish young people like you who seem to have a lot of passion for politics to go into politics for the right reason. The world doesn't need another angry young politician. Too many of those.
I am of Christian faith and I often do readings at my church. However, I don't believe a man of no faith or a faith different than mine is an immoral man. An immoral man is a man who hides behind and uses the bible to commit an ILLEGAL WAR (this is a fact whether you choose to believe it or not). The men in the White House have used the bible as Usama Bin Laden, Ayatollah Khomeini have used the Koran. Back to your soldier story... the true test of faith is when you uphold what is right under the duress of your conditions. A man of faith, as it appears you claim to be, should never condone a man killing an unarmed man in vengeance/wrath. You can understand him, you can sympathize and you can even forgive him, but as a man of faith, you can never CONDONE such behaviour.
My advice to you, since you are still young, is as follows:
1. Don't side with the right on everything. Use your own mind and stop reading criticisms of topics. You seem as if you are borderline brainwashed. Make your own judgements.
2. Do not watch CNN Crossfire. Even though they have intelligent speakers, they act more like corporate lawyers defending their clients. If you've seen corporate lawyers in action, you'll know what I'm talking about.
3. O'Reilly, Coulter, Hannity, Limbaugh.... don't use anything they say for your arguments. They do not use reliable references. In fact, liberals like Al Frankin have made a career on their very weak or very untrue arguments.
4. If you must watch TV, watch Dennis Miller. He displays how intelligent conservatives should act. He challenges yet listens to people who disagree with him. I don't think anyone sees him as weak.
5. don't try to be funny. It's not in your character. I can see that very clearly in your writing. Your sarcasm isn't the type of sarcasm that sells funny, it sells asshole. Nothing personal, I just call it as I see it.
6. relax and enjoy life. You must learn to manage your surroundings before you decide that you are good enough to manage the population's best interests.
7. get a job outside of politics first. If politics is your cup of tea, an office job in the manufacturing sector would be your best starting spot. You basically get all facets of society in a manufacturing job.
I don't mean to offend you and it may appear as if I am attacking you. I am not attacking you, I am challenging you to not follow the path of the haters. The world is in need of people with intelligence and more importantly INTEGRITY. When you post a new article, please refrain from insults and please refrain from imposing your ideas as common sense for us all. Nobody likes a preacher with as little credibility as yourself (being a graduate of law from Yale, I know that being a student of law is in no way credibility for knowing what is best for mankind).
It isn't too late for you. Everybody has got to start somewhere if they want to get into politics. I will look at your angry posts as acts of passion, but if you want to truly enter the ring of politics, remember that you are accountable for what you say.
With truly the best intentions,
