Hey everyone!
As the Canadian election winds down and the American election heats up, I have decided that I absolutely must go into politics. I am completely enamoured with the entire process and simply must be a part of it.
I attended and moderated a local debate today and was fairly impressed with the candidates, all of whom are extremely personable. Lonny McKague seems to be a nice man who is saddled with having to explain 10 years of Liberal arrogance to a hostile crowd in the middle of Conservative country. Robert Stringer also seems to be a good dude, but appears to be out of his element and not very comfortable speaking in front of an audience. Ed Komarnicki is also a nice man, but I have a feeling his is very moderate as far as Conservatives go, which leads me back to Grant Devine. I am against the idea of an independant, but he is head and shoulders above the other candidates in confidence and polish. Just my opinion, but its gonna be a heck of a fight come Monday.
South of the border, I would still like to see W unleash a John Wayne-esque ass whooping on the insurgents in Iraq (and Iran for that matter). Get tough and send them home to Allah in Red White and Blue body bags.
I also want to state for the record that I find Michael Moore to be completely vile and totally un-American. If he had made this shitty film during the Deuce, he would have been shot for treason.
I'm out.

Hello All,
Well, the Debate seemed to me to be a bust, but at least Harper could be seen as having scored a nominal victory. Martin looks old, tired and downright haggard.
Met with some of the campaign managers of the local candidates here in SK, and I am kind of disappointed in their level of knowledge, politically speaking. If I have to explain to them who Carolyn Parrish is, then there is a serious lack of knowledge on Canadian politics.
I am also a little disallusioned with some of the Conservatives candidates attitudes towards the Senate. I would like to see an Equal and Elected Senate, with two Senators per province. However, some of the candidates seem to think that it wont happen because of Ontario complaining. I say to them, tough titty, get used to it or else the West is gonna seperate or join the US. If you arent going to go to Ottawa to represent the people in your area, then dont run. If you are worried about Ontario, then move there.

Hey Everyone,
Sorry for my absense, I have been terribly busy with the election and trying to contact someone so that I might volunteer for Bush-Cheney 04. If anyone actually reads this and knows a contact # for North Dakota, please let me know.
With funeral services set for President Reagan tomorrow, I find it shameful that the left and its media havent had the decency to lay off the former President. They are already trying to besmirch his good name by dragging out all the supposed scandals of his administration and ignoring his defeat of Communism. The left seems to think that it alone won the Cold War and were on the side of right the whole time. Say what you will about the left and intelligencia, but they are excellent revisionist historians.
John Kerry has thus far been very eloquent in his portrayal of Ronald Reagan, but it wasnt so very long ago that he too was disparaging Mr. Reagan's record to score political points. I am not surprised at this turnaround from Senator Flippy, but I do wonder if these people (Kerry is by no means alone in this category) ever listen to or remember what they have said in the past?
I also wonder why the same people (mostly media types) who used to warn that Bush was the second coming of Reagan now believe he is not even in the same league as the Gipper?
If you have the chance, check out www.unitednorthamerica.com
Its an excellent site calling for the amalgamation of Canada and the USA. The author has the idea well thought out and you cant argue the merits of the idea. I for one am totally behind this idea.
It seems to me that Canadians and Americans are basically the same people who have had an artificial wedge driven between them by history and an anti-American Liberal Party in Canada. Multiculturalism has eroded any Canadian identity that ever existed (thanks alot Pierre, you old French asshole) and has forced Canadians, especially in the East, to define themselves as being "not-American". This is so very wrong I cant even begin to describe it.
Do take the time to look at the website. The plan would give Western Canada a voice in its own affairs, something that has been over due for a century.
BUSH-CHENEY 2004!!
And my most sincere condolences to the Reagan family and to all Americans. And especially to Eastern Europeans who saw Reagan as their ray of hope during the dark days of Communism.

Hey Everyone!
The latest Ipsos Reid poll now shows the Liberals and Conservatives in a virtual dead heat. 32 % for the Liberals and 31% for the Conservatives. This does my heart good, as the Liberals tried a shift farther left in order to garner more support and Canadians seem to have rejected this. It has always been my contention that far more Canadians are Conservative than the media let on. It would likely cause the CBC execs to spontaneously combust if they were to suggest that all Canadians arent enamored with Socialism.
Also, very sad news today on the passing of President Reagan. I will always remember him as the man who beat the Communists. While I am sure the Democrats and other America haters will try and dredge up the negative, this time of mourning should be spent remembering the man who saved the free world.
I for one endorse a national monument to this great man and hope the plans for a Ronald Reagan University are resurrected.
Has anyone seen John Kerry? Is there an international flip flop convention on?? Is it any wonder that the more John Kerry stays out of the national spotlight, the more popular he becomes in the polls?
I find it hilarious (hilarium as my friend and cousin Kelly would say) that the Democrats last great hope to beat George W. is a man who is more popular in absentia than he is in person. The more I hear from Democrats and their missing candidate, the less worried I become over the outcome of the election in November, when North America will be Conservative from Inuvik to Irving, TX and from Prince Edward Island to Pasadena.
I was trying to think of a joke today, but have nothing appropriate at press time, so I'm out.
